In my class

On Tuesday evenings I guide two unique classes: Ashtanga Fundamentals and Tantra Yoga Fusion.

Ashtanga Fundamentals adapts the poses of the 1st Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa to your body and yoga experience. Poses are linked in sequences that build flexibility, strength, stamina and concentration. Sequences are repeated so students can master postures through breath and stability. Emphasis is on proper breathing (Ujjayi), alignment and Dristi gazing. Each class focuses on a key posture.

Tantra Yoga Fusion works with body and mind energies using practices from Tantra Yoga. Classes combine asana, breathwork, mudras, mantras, kriyas, visualisation and Yoga Nidra meditations that expand awareness. It’s about understanding the user’s manual of YOURSELF.

My path as a teacher

I’ve practiced and taught for over 20 years. My roots are in Ashtanga Vinyasa, later expanding into Yoga Nidra, breathwork, meditation and Tantra. Meeting my teacher Peter Marchand deepened my understanding of traditional paths and the ‘Leela’ of life — a message I share in my classes.

What The Shala means to me

I am grateful to be able to share my practices and experiences with this wonderful collaboration of souls at The Shala. To be able to come together and enhance people’s lives towards deeper self-understanding, self-love and the importance of community makes this all worthwhile. Thank you Katrin!
